Just a phase. And phases fizzle.

About the event

Career rut. Hamster wheel. Non-idyllic boss situation. Just know that whatever impossibly frustrating phase you’re wishing would end NOW is just a phase, and will end soon. Join our Lead Like a Mother panel chat on why and how to ride it out.

The workplace is fluid, so at some point, things will change, and you’ll rally like the pro you are. Responsibilities will shift, problematic people will move on. New opportunities will present themselves. So our one word of advice when you most want to throw in the towel? Don’t.

Hope to see you there!

You can secure your spot here.

The panel

 Yasameen Sajady
Co-founder and CEO – Maazah Chutney

Inspired by her Mom’s “magical green chutney,” Yasameen Sajady has taken Maazah from the farmer’s market to a national brand. Maazah's vision is to boldly re-discover, re-imagine, and re-brand Middle Eastern food. Beyond sauces and dips, Maazah aims to be a platform sharing vibrant flavors with America, expanding into sides and entrees to satisfy both consumers and retail partners.  Maazah is now available at Target and launching nationwide with Whole Foods in September. Yasameen was in the IMPACTSKU 21” Accelorat, Kroger Go Fresh & Go Local 21’ Winner and 2023 ExpoWest Pitch Slam Winner.

Amber Holm
SVP/Chief Marketing Officer – Winnebago

Amber Holm is Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at Winnebago Industries, where she leads communications, insights, digital customer experience, and brand marketing for a portfolio of premium outdoor recreation brands including Winnebago, Grand Design RV, Newmar, Chris-Craft, and Barletta Boats.

Amber has more than two decades of experience leading brands and businesses across a variety of growth, transformation, and turnaround challenges. Active in the community, Amber serves on the board of directors of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and has previously served on the board for the Nashville Ballet and founded Bridgestone’s Women’s Initiative Network (BWIN), Bridgestone’s first employee resource group to advance women in the tire industry. She holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Amber resides in the Twin Cities with her husband Mark and their three children.

Tali Hayhoe
Director & General Manager – Best Buy

Tali is a Director and General Manager at Best Buy. In this role she oversees the merchandising, e-commerce and demand planning for Gaming and Accessories, leading a team and building partner relationships to ultimately shape the customer experience in stores and online. However, before merchandising, there was marketing. Tali has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and retail marketing. Most recently she was Director of Partner & Category Marketing with Best Buy Ads. Outside of work, Tali is just hitting her stride in her parenting career. She has three kids under the age of six, which she jokes may qualify her to add “Zookeeper” to her bio and signature line.

Moderated by Lynne Robertson, EVP, brand – broadhead, and Founder, Lead Like a Mother

A proven industry force and frequent speaker, Lynne captured the attention of the advertising industry when she purchased Fame from its global holding company in 2015 — and then again when she joined forces with broadhead in 2022. In 2016, she founded Lead Like a Mother, a business management philosophy and advice forum that draws parallels from the triumphs of nurturing children to the competencies required to run a business. Lynne is an AdFed Silver recipient, Effie winner, member of The Hub Braintrust, honorary AdFed Board member, Retail Expert on the Small Business Revolution documentary, and former VP of the Twin Cities Retail Design Institute.

She also happens to be the mother of 3 (almost fully) grown children, not-so-strategically spaced 7 years apart, making it impossible to choose a family vacation that keeps everyone happy. (Sigh.)

What is Lead Like a Mother?

The parallels between parenting and (strangely similar) professional situations are astounding. And the learnings make us better at both. Lead Like a Mother is definitely not FMO (For Moms Only). These are equal opportunity learnings that apply across humanity as a whole, and are not exclusive to those with offspring.
